Job Title: Vice President, Surgical Services

Job Summary Lead strategic planning, operational excellence, and business development for the surgical services line. Drive service differentiation, elevate clinical quality, and champion exceptional patient care by aligning strategic initiatives with organizational objectives and engaging key multidisciplinary stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Quality & Regulatory Excellence: Cultivate a superior clinical identity by implementing evidence-based practices, patient safety initiatives, and rigorous standards of care. Direct nursing operations, reduce clinical variation, ensure full regulatory compliance, and oversee patient throughput, capacity planning, and discharge coordination.
• Service Delivery & Patient Experience: Foster an environment that differentiates the service line as a premier destination for both practice and patient care. Drive physician alignment, utilize feedback mechanisms to benchmark performance, and execute strategic roadmaps to optimize satisfaction and clinical outcomes.
• People Leadership & Talent Strategy: Build a high-performing organization by attracting, developing, engaging, and retaining top-tier talent. Establish frameworks for performance management, continuous learning, coaching, and workforce retention across multidisciplinary teams.
• Growth & Market Development: Spearhead service line growth through strategic planning, identification of new service offerings, and the integration of advanced medical technologies. Monitor healthcare market dynamics, competitive landscapes, and reimbursement trends while cultivating robust external partnerships and referral networks.
• Financial & Resource Management: Oversee comprehensive operational and capital budgeting, aligning financial plans with business objectives and evaluating return on investment. Drive cost-effective resource utilization, labor management excellence, productivity optimization, and expense reduction initiatives.

Education & Experience

• Education: Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree in a related field preferred.
• Experience: Minimum 5 years of applicable experience in surgical services within an acute care environment.
• Leadership: Minimum 2 to 3 years of Director-level leadership experience required.
